Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-05-23T19:53Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2026-05-23T19:53:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
GAP: Data gap
HAL: Halo CME
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Fast CME with a brighter, narrower bulk partially obscured by the pylon in GOES CCOR-1 and a fainter halo shock seen to the N in COR2A and to the NE in CCOR-1 (and initially covered by the scheduled data gap in SOHO LASCO). It is associated with the fast far-sided eruption seen to the NNE in SOHO LASCO 171 and GOES SUVI 284 as fast movement of field lines and restructuring of magnetic field and as long, narrow strands of a filament in GOES SUVI 304. It is associated with type II radio burst.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG LE false SWPC_CAT -126.0 51.0 1262.0 O 32.0 2026-05-23T22:29Z Preliminary, very approximate analysis of the brighter bulk based on the fit of early coronagraph imagery with two coronagraphs, GOES CCOR-1 and STEREO A COR2. This far-sided CME is partially obscured by the pylon in CCOR-1 making analysis difficult. Not modeled Anna Chulaki on 2026-05-24T01:26Z
